Megapolis, Pune’s Third Integrated Township

Pune is set to have another integrated township, the third in the city. The township will be set up in accordance with the special township policy act of the Government of Maharastra.

The township will be set up by Pegasus Group at the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park in Hingewadi, to be called ‘Megapolis’. This is a Rs. 1,400 crore township which will include 58 high rise towers with 5,800 apartments. The township will have 80 per cent park and 20 per cent construction.

The first township was Amanora Park Town, spread across 400-acres at a cost of Rs. 10,000 crore. Paranjpe Schemes (Constructions) Limited has also set up a Rs. 3,200 croore township, spread across 138-acre, named Blue Ridge.

Currently, applications of 34 projects are being considered for the status of town-ship.
